What are the advantages of PP yarn?

PP yarn features:

1. PP yarn shape: The longitudinal surface of polypropylene is straight and smooth, and the cross section is round.

2. PP yarn density: The great advantage of polypropylene is its light texture, and its density is only 0.91g / cm3, which is a lighter density among common chemical fibers.

3． PP yarn extensibility: polypropylene yarn has high strength, large elongation, high initial modulus, and excellent elasticity. Therefore, polypropylene has good abrasion resistance. In addition, the wet strength of polypropylene yarn is basically equal to the dry strength.

4． Hygroscopicity and dyeability of PP yarns: Polypropylene has very little hygroscopicity, hardly hygroscopicity, and the moisture regain in single atmospheric conditions is close to zero. But it has a wicking effect, can transfer water vapor through the capillary in the fabric, and does not have any absorption effect itself.

5． Acid and alkali resistance of PP yarn: Polypropylene has good chemical resistance. In addition to concentrated nitric acid and strong caustic soda, polypropylene has good resistance to acids and alkalis.

6. Light resistance of PP yarn: Polypropylene has poor light resistance, poor thermal stability, easy ageing, and is not resistant to ironing. But anti-aging agent can be added during spinning to improve its anti-aging performance. In addition, polypropylene has good electrical insulation properties, but is prone to static electricity during processing.
