[Slight growth in global industrial textile exports]

According to data from foreign industry institutions, global industrial textile exports increased slightly by 0.24%, from US$25.84016 billion in 2017 to US$25,990,205 million in 2019. According to data from Tex Pro, total exports in 2019 fell by 5.26% from the previous year. However, exports in 2022 are expected to reach USD 26,548.8 million, an increase of 2.50% over 2019.


   In 2017, global industrial textile imports amounted to USD 22,334,878, a slight increase of 0.44%, and reached USD 22.447 billion in 2019. Nevertheless, total imports in 2019 fell by 4.82% from the previous year, and are expected to increase to US$23.28652 billion in 2022, an increase of 3.74% from 2019.


In 2019, the major exporters of global industrial textiles were China (US$8.0544 billion), Germany (US$2.52019 billion) and the United States (US$2.15013 billion), accounting for 49.13% of total exports, followed by South Korea (US$1.28267 million) and Italy ( US$1.26953 billion) and Taiwan of China (US$1,0128.6 million). From 2016 to 2019, China (12.94%) and Germany (12.66%) experienced the most significant growth in exports.


In 2019, the main importers of global industrial textiles were the United States (US$2.666.8 billion), Vietnam (US$1.838.6 billion), China (US$1.689.7 billion) and Germany (US$1.7654 million), accounting for 32.94% of total imports, followed by India ( 795.04 million US dollars), Mexico (78406 million US dollars) and Indonesia (724.4 million US dollars). From 2016 to 2019, among the major importing countries, Vietnam (36.22%), the United States (10.32%) and Germany (3.57%) saw the most significant increase in imports.
